Brugmansia Studio ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Koru mobile application (the "Service").

This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

1. Information We Collect

We collect several different types of information to provide and improve our Service to you.

A. Data You Provide Directly (Stored Locally)

Koru is designed to be a private-first application. The following sensitive data that you enter into the app is stored exclusively on your device's local storage (using Hive). We do not have access to, nor do we sync, this information to any server:

• Health Data: Information related to your menstrual cycle, including start dates, end dates, and cycle observations.

• Financial Data: Information about your expenses, income, categories, and budgets.

• User Content (Diary & Gallery): Personal journal entries, mood selections, and any photos or videos you add to the Gallery.

• Planner Data: Tasks, checklists, and folder names created in the Agenda.

Because this data is stored only locally, if you uninstall the application, this data will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by us.

B. Data We Process via Third-Parties (Authentication)

To provide account services, we use Firebase Authentication (Google).

• Account Information: When you choose to sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google, such as your Name and Email Address. This information is used solely to identify you within the app.

• Profile Data: You may optionally provide additional personal information on your profile, such as your Date of Birth, Gender, Height, Weight, and Interests. This data is also stored locally on your device.

C. Data Collected Automatically (Analytics and Ads)

We use third-party services to keep the app running smoothly and to display advertisements in the free version.

• Usage and Crash Data (Firebase): We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous data about how you use the app (e.g., which features are popular) and to identify crashes. This helps us improve stability.

• Advertising Data (Google AdMob): Our free version uses Google AdMob, which may collect and use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA or AAID) to serve personalized advertisements.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• To Provide the Service: To run the app's core functions, such as calculating your cycle predictions, displaying your financial summaries, and showing your diary entries.

• To Improve the Service: To understand which features are used most and to fix bugs (via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics).

• To Monetize the Service: To display advertisements (via AdMob) in the free version of the app.

• To Process Payments: To handle In-App Purchases (via Google Play) for the Premium version.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We employ third-party companies and services to facilitate our Service. These third parties have access to your data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

4. In-App Purchases (Koru Premium)

We offer a 7-day free trial for full access to all features. After this trial, some features (such as Agenda and Finances) will be locked. These features can be permanently unlocked by purchasing "Koru Premium" via a one-time In-App Purchase handled by the Google Play Store.

5. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
